Explore our high-precision engineered valves designed for zero-leakage performance in critical applications.
In the domain of industrial fluid control, the term "2 Butterfly Valve" carries multiple layers of semantic significance. Primarily, it refers to the 2-inch nominal diameter (DN50) butterfly valve, a cornerstone component in piping systems worldwide. Additionally, in high-performance process engineering, it denotes double eccentric (double offset) butterfly valves or 2-way directional control configurations. Understanding these technical distinctions is crucial for procurement officers and engineering leads seeking to optimize system efficiency, reduce pressure drops, and guarantee long-term reliability.
The global industrial valve market is undergoing a rapid transition driven by automation, environmental regulations, and the demand for energy efficiency. The 2-inch butterfly valve, historically viewed as a simple isolation device, has evolved into a highly engineered control element. Key trends include:

As a leading global supplier of 2-inch butterfly valves, our manufacturing facilities embody the principles of China Industry 4.0. By integrating automation, digital quality control systems, and lean manufacturing processes, we resolve the traditional trade-offs between cost, speed, and quality. Our supply chain resilience is built on robust foundations:
Our workshop features 15 advanced machining centers and automated assembly lines. This ensures dimensional tolerances are kept within microns, guaranteeing perfect disc-to-seat alignment and minimizing operating torque.
Every batch of raw material—whether SS304, SS316, WCB, or Ductile Iron—undergoes spectrometer testing before casting. We provide full material test reports (MTRs) to guarantee compliance with international standards.
Zero leakage is our core principle. Every single 2" butterfly valve undergoes hydrostatic shell and seat testing, alongside pneumatic low-pressure testing, prior to packaging and dispatch.
How we ensure every valve leaving our factory meets the highest global standards.
Our R&D department ensures continuous product design and innovation. Our technicians develop products that meet customer and market requirements, utilizing our lab's extensive modern testing capabilities to elevate product performance. We currently offer 20 series and over 500 varieties of products.

The 2-inch butterfly valve is a highly versatile flow control component utilized across a broad spectrum of commercial, municipal, and industrial sectors. Its compact face-to-face dimensions and lightweight design make it ideal for installations where space is limited and structural load must be minimized.
In municipal water treatment and reverse osmosis desalination plants, 2-inch wafer butterfly valves with EPDM or PTFE seats are used to control the flow of raw water, permeate, and brine. Their corrosion resistance ensures long-term operation without contaminating the media.
In commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, these valves regulate chilled and hot water circulation. The low torque requirement allows for integration with compact, cost-effective electric actuators for automated temperature control.
For corrosive chemical pipelines, our stainless steel PTFE-lined butterfly valves provide an impenetrable barrier against aggressive acids, bases, and organic solvents, preventing leakage and ensuring operator safety.

KR has more than 20 years of experience in producing standard and non-standard valves of various types.
When sourcing 2-inch butterfly valves, engineers must choose between three primary designs based on the pressure, temperature, and media characteristics of the application. Selecting the wrong type can lead to premature seat wear, leakage, or excessive actuation costs.
The most common design, where the stem is centered in the disc and seat. Ideal for low-pressure applications (up to 150 PSI) and non-corrosive fluids. The disc makes contact with the resilient seat (EPDM, NBR, or PTFE) throughout its 90-degree rotation, which can lead to higher wear over time but offers excellent bubble-tight shutoff at a lower cost.
Features two offsets: the stem is offset from the centerline of the disc, and also from the centerline of the valve body. This causes the disc to lift off the seat immediately upon opening, reducing friction and wear. Double eccentric valves are suitable for higher pressures (up to Class 300) and are widely used in steam, gas, and chemical processes.
Adds a third offset—the contact profile of the seat is cone-shaped. This eliminates all friction between the seat and disc during travel, achieving a true metal-to-metal, zero-leakage seal. Triple offset valves are designed for extreme temperatures (-196°C to +815°C) and high-pressure, critical isolation applications in oil & gas and petrochemical industries.
